Description
Salty Dog beachside cottage offers quiet accommodation in a tropical garden setting, five-minutes’ walk away from two beaches – the world renowned Kings Beach and dog-friendly Shelly Beach. The cottage has a laid back ambiance which embraces its natural surroundings and aims to give our guests an exceptionally relaxed experience.
We welcome couples, families, and their dogs, to stay and soak up the sunny salt air.
Location
Situated 400 metres from the full time patrolled Kings Beach and 450 metres from beautiful Shelly Beach, Salty Dog gives our guests easy access to beaches, an oceanfront pool, and a wonderful walking track along the headland.
The cottage is around the corner from the Kings Beach Tavern and the Mets Surf Club; walking distance from pubs, beachside restaurants, funky coffee shops and the local Shelly Beach Corner Shop.
Beachside walking tracks connect our guests one way to Moffat Beach, Tooway Creek and Dicky Beach and the other way to Happy Valley, Bulcock Beach and further along to the quiet Pumicestone Passage waters of Golden Beach.
Living
Salty Dog provides guests with an open plan studio-size living area with a combined kitchen, dining and living area opening to an alfresco deck with an outdoor dining area and BBQ. All rooms have ceiling fans for your comfort and the living area and second bedroom are also air conditioned. The cottage has two televisions, stereo, DVD, as well as one undercover park and additional parking if required.

Outdoors
Salty Dog features an outdoor entertaining area with an alfresco deck, connected directly to the kitchen / living area. Sit under the lime tree and have sundowners, or watch the children and pets play in the fully fenced grassed area.
For the Kids
The kids will love their stay, with Salty Dog being a short stroll to Kings Beach and Shelly Beach. Kings Beach is a patrolled, safe beach with a free salt water pool, children playgrounds and a water feature play area. There are rock pools to explore at Little Kings, along with fishing off the boat ramp and shell collecting. Kings also has a designated surfing area. Shelly Beach is an interesting, dog friendly beach to explore, with pirates caves and large expanses of rock pools to investigate at low tide, a children’s playground and a winding beach front bike / walking track all the way up the headland to Moffat Beach. Salty Dog Cottage is around the corner from Kings Beach Park, a well-equipped children’s park, with a flying fox, basketball courts, playground, bike tracks and playing field. There are many nearby areas for a relaxing BBQ including along the Anzac Walk headland track with stunning views over Kings Beach and the Pacific Ocean.
