Please note k'gari beach resort is only accessible by 4wd vehicles. a vehicle access permit is required for all vehicles coming onto k'gari. these can be purchased from the qpws website and river heads barge bookings via sealink ferry website.. guests without their own 4wd vehicles, are required to hire one before arrival at the resort. the island can be accessed by vehicle barges that operate daily from river heads, south of hervey bay, to wanggoolba creek. if arriving via river heads, you must book a space on the vehicle barge ferry in advance. from the sunshine coast via rainbow beach, the rainbow venture barge is on demand between inskip point and hook point between 07:00 and 17:00 and bookings are not required. please note that there is a 1.4% charge when you pay with a visa or mastercard credit card, guests are required to show a photo id and credit card upon check-in. please note that all special requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply, please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. you can use the special requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation, guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.
