Gorgeous farmhouse renovated by previous architect/owner set in the bucolic setting of Springhill's farming hamlet. Located only 15 minutes from Kyneton, Trentham and Daylesford. Close to wineries, horse riding, farmer's markets and fine eateries.
The spacious, light-filled accommodation sleeps up to six adult guests and offers plenty of scope for relaxing, with generous living zones, wood fireplaces, a bath and views to savour the surrounding countryside. Feel that you are living the country dream here with slow cooking after a visit to one of the many farmers' markets or roadside produce stalls in the area.
The owners have provided a delightful “home away from home” with all the cooking utensils, books, games, art and furnishings you need to make your stay both stylish and comfortable. It will be hard to find an excuse to leave but there are many things to see and do in the area.
There are plenty of walks in the Wombat Forest and the 5 km Domino Rail Trail is good for walking, running or riding. Silver Brumby Horse Trails offer rides nearby if you are inclined otherwise it is a short drive for a wine tasting at Zig Zag Winery or Passing Clouds. Daylesford Wine Tours will pick up groups of four or more if you prefer to leave the car.
Book ahead for a fine meal at one of your neighbours, Du Fermier in Trentham or Midnight Starling in Kyneton or enjoy a beer and the convivial atmosphere at Radio Springs Hotel, Lyonville, situated at the end of the Domino Rail Trail. The Woolshed House has a Studio located on the same property approximately 20 metres away that can be booked separately and is next door to A Little Church on Springhill and the owner’s peony farm. The Church is a popular wedding and events venue and the farm is open for peony season on selected days from November. Keep an eye on the calendar.
