With stylish interiors, premium fixtures, and exceptionally comfortable bedding — including brand-new Ecosa mattresses and memory-foam pillows — Shell Shack promises a relaxed yet refined stay by the sea. The home is just a 400-metre flat walk to Tomakin’s three iconic beaches — Barlings Beach, Tomakin Cove, and the pet-friendly Tomakin Beach. You’re also only 150 metres from the river and local playground, and 250 metres from both the Rivermouth Café and the Tomakin Sports Club. Boating, fishing, swimming, and surfing are all within easy walking distance — making this a genuinely prime location in the heart of Tomakin.
Shell Shack features three beautifully styled bedrooms and generous indoor–outdoor living spaces, perfect for families and coastal getaways. The open-plan living area includes a welcoming lounge with a linen Freedom three-seater sofa, a brand-new 75-inch wall-mounted TCL Smart TV, fireplace, coffee table, and a large split-system air conditioner for year-round comfort. Adjacent to the lounge is the well-appointed kitchen, complete with a brand-new LG fridge/freezer, oven, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso machine, toaster, and kettle. Fully stocked with ample cutlery, glassware, crockery, and utensils, it’s ideal for cooking at home and enjoying meals together at the six-seater dining table.
The newly renovated bathroom exudes understated luxury, featuring brushed brass tapware, a raindrop shower, oversized vanity, and generous storage. A conveniently located separate toilet adds extra comfort and practicality for families.
Bedroom 1 is the serene master suite. Recently renovated with timber panelling, brass wall sconces, and luxurious bedding, it offers a peaceful retreat — especially for the parents. An oversized built-in wardrobe provides plenty of space to unpack and settle in.
Bedroom 2 features another brand-new Ecosa Queen bed and is freshly renovated and beautifully styled. It includes a ceiling fan, bedside lamps with integrated power points, luxurious linen, and a well-sized built-in wardrobe.
Bedroom 3 has been thoughtfully designed as a kids’ retreat, with new rattan single beds, a chest of drawers, a cane bookshelf stocked with games and puzzles, and charming décor. A brand-new remote-controlled ceiling fan and well-placed power points ensure a comfortable night’s sleep after long days at the beach.
For guests needing extra space, The Pipi — a self-contained studio located onsite — can be added to your Shell Shack booking. While it cannot be booked independently, it offers a King bed, living area with a brand-new Queen-size Ecosa sofa bed, a renovated bathroom, kitchenette, and a dedicated work-from-home space — perfect for extended stays or remote work. Set on a fully fenced 550sqm block, Shell Shack provides plenty of grassy space for outdoor play.
There’s undercover parking for mountain bikes and surfboards, double gates allowing secure access for a caravan or boat, and a lovely outdoor entertaining area complete with a six-seater dining table, festoon lighting, and a Weber Q BBQ — ideal for relaxed coastal evenings.
Shell Shack is pet-friendly, welcoming well-behaved pets so the whole family can enjoy this exceptional coastal escape. Guests have full access to the Shell Shack and will have exclusive use of the property.
It is important to note that The Pipi cannot be booked on its own. Guests can either choose to book it (which will incur a seperate flat fee of $300 to cover cleaning and linen expenses), or leave it unoccupied. This allows maximum flexibility for guests wanting a bit more room, while also assuring complete privacy and exclusive access regardless of whether The Pipi is requested or not. Further, if the queen sofa bed in The Pipi is to be used, guests must either BYO linen, or let us know in advance so we can provide a linen pack from Blissful Bedding (for an additional charge).
