Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: It’s very picturesque and definitely leans into the old timely feel. Really nice view of the river and the host was accommodating with a later check out, which was nice to not have to rush. (Thank you)

Negative: I understand the wanting to keep the originality of the house, but a lot of the furniture was really run down. Not one couch was comfortable enough to sit on for longer than 5-10 minutes. And the wear and tear on the main lounge in the kitchen/dining area was disappointing. Also the day bed on the side deck didn’t even have any cushions to sit on, just throw pillows on it. The lack of curtains in the rooms, especially the back room where the sun directly rises on that window, made it impossible to sleep past 6:30am. Not to mention the privacy concerns with getting dressed and sleeping through the night. The gaps on the back doors was really frustrating as well, as the whole place was riddled with mosquitos and other insects. If you value comfort, I would say this place wouldn’t be for you. However if you like the small town, older house (leaning on slightly spooky lol) vibe, than this is the place for you.

Summary: Beautiful house/area, but run down and could use some love.
