Riverside Retreat is a casual and comfortable waterfront home on the shore of the Shoalhaven River. Direct access to the wide river is right on your doorstep! A great spot for a family getaway where you can enjoy the beautiful river, or the broader Shoalhaven region. This home sleeps 12, however is not suitable for more than 10 adults .
With generous features including two outdoor entertaining areas, well-equipped modern kitchen, laundry and very large lawn areas for the kids to enjoy, the family is sure to enjoy a break away at this home. Ideally located just 10 minutes from Berry, and 10 minutes from Gerroa/Gerringong - a perfect base for golf, boating, visting wineries, swimming, surfing and shopping in the surrounding villages!

Where will I be?
Riverside Retreat is located on the waters edge of the Shoalhaven River, near Coolangatta Winery, and conveniently located within a 10 minute drive to the villages of Berry, Gerroa and Gerringong. The area is known for its lush pastures and beautiful scenery. The river is just across your back lawn - but if you prefer the surf then Seven Mile Beach is just minutes away. Shoalhaven Golf Course and the Heads Hotel are just minutes drive away also. Kangaroo Valley is also just a 30 minute drive. For boating enthusiasts, there is a boat ramp within a 5 minute drive.

Riverside Retreat is a very peaceful property that is casual and comfortable. With multiple indoor and outdoor living spaces and a great backyard for the kids to enjoy, Riverside Retreat can be a destination in itself or a base to explore the area. Love fishing? Cast a line from your backyard or launch the boat at the local boat ramp! Or, bring your SUP or kayak to paddle on the river which is just metres from the house. At the end of the day enjoy the outdoors with a sunset BBQ overlooking the river. The kitchen and living space are modern and spacious with heating and cooling to make your stay comfortable. The location is popular with cyclists, golfers, people who enjoy good restaurants, cafes, pubs, shopping, festivals, markets and wineries.
How is the property laid out?
Riverside Retreat is a 4 bedroom house, sleeping 12 in total. A maximum of 10 adults, please. There are 3 queen bedrooms with built-in robes and a large shared room with two tri-bunks and an additional TV - a great room for the kids. The modern and well equipped kitchen has a coffee machine that is compatible with Nespresso (original line) pods and adjoins the dining area. The living room has a comfortable lounge, a smart TV and opens onto the uncovered deck which overlooks the river. There is an additional covered outdoor entertaining area which is protected with insect netting. There are two shared bathrooms and a washing machine and dryer.
WiFi, Netflix, Pay TV – will I have it?
Riverside Retreat has a smart TV in the living area and a free-to-air TV in the bunk room. Please bring your own logins to access streaming services.
This property provides complimentary WiFi and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email, or will be available at the property. Please note that even though the house has a reliable NBN connection, neither The Holidays Collection nor the owner can guarantee 100% that the WiFi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If WiFI is critically important to you, please have your own back up plan.
What about outdoors?
Riverside Retreat is set on a large block which adjoins the Shoalhaven River. There are two outdoor entertaining areas which overlook the river, both with dining tables and chairs (one screened area) and a BBQ. The home has two generous lawn areas also. Note that the backyard is unfenced and the water is directly accessible from the home.
Staying warm or keeping cool
The house has a gas heater and reverse cycle air conditioner in the lounge room, ceiling fans in the queen bedrooms, and a reverse cycle air conditioner in the bunk room.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
High quality sheets and bath towels are provided at Riverside Retreat. Please bring your own beach towels however!

There is parking for 4 cars and a boat.

What are the minimum stay rules?
- Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
- Easter: 4 nights
- Long Weekends: 3 nights
- All other times: 2 nights
Are there any special Summer Season rules?
Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.
