Summary: Rented double bed with ensuite. Cons: no refrigerator (Expedia advertised it), only shared kitchen (with presumably a refrigerator, I didn't check). Aircon works great but makes clicking sound when using low fan speed, ok on medium - not a problem for me. Indifferent: Some stairs to get up then back down to the room but ok for me. Pros: good location - close Woolworths and town hall train station / light rail, internet wifi was good, app to open doors was good (slight delay to open door but it's ok to me), good price, staff were great. Other hostel users were super friendly. Lots of activities advertised. Good noise isolation. Notes: I didn't try the food / breakfast options.
