A must-see Sydney tourist attraction Taronga Zoo is a mere 5-minute walk through the National Park and the direct Ferry to the city is not much further. A family-friendly area, Clifton Gardens has an easy-breezy vibe and plenty of neighbourhood favourites with fabulous playgrounds. The calm waters of Chowder Bay beckon, where a bushy backdrop is countered by a gorgeous harbour side frontage and is steeped in local history to enhance the walk. Sunny days are well spent on a meandering bush walk through adjoining Chowder Head, to the tranquil waters and restaurant scene of Balmoral Beach are another major drawcard, with its sheltered position in the harbour making it ideal for open water swimming and paddleboarding.
