High Country Cottage is a 2 bedroom self contained cottage, with views across the town of Kootingal and the outer ranges. Set on160 acres with 360 degree views of mountains and bushland. The place to be for weather watching, storms, sunrises, sunsets and star gazing. Plenty of native wildlife to see too.
We are close to National parks, the towns of Nundle, Tamworth and Barraba

Guest access
Guests are welcome to go for walks towards the back of the property, there are easy to challenging walking tracks. Stop, listen and look for the birdlife, we have some beautiful native finches around and you may also sight some other native wildlife.
Our property also has a look out that you can access by walking, it is a bit of a challenge or we are more than happy to drive you up there.
CHILDREN - Parents / Carers need to supervise their children at all times, we have unfenced dams, water troughs, a pool (not available for guest), electric and barbed wire fencing.
For your safety there is strictly no access into the animal paddocks.

BOOKING YOUR STAY -- If you have no reviews, I will ask to sight your current identification on check in.
ACCESS ROAD -- Parts of the main road and our driveway is made up of dirt/gravel/tar and may seem a little steep in parts but accessible for any vehicle and well worth it for the view. At times it may get a little muddy after excessive rain but its still fine to drive on and we maintain as needed.
PETS -- Due our bush location, native wildlife, small free range farm animals and unfenced areas we cannot accommodate your pets or animals of any kind... Thankyou for your understanding.
WARNING -- Don't be surprised if you see frogs, bugs, ants, small spiders, geckos, field mice and goannas, we are surrounded by bush and while every effort is taken to control them they do like to surprise us.
