Here at this gorgeous cottage your neighbours are horses & there is an abundance of bird life enjoying the 300 year old fig tree in the backyard. You will feel instantly relaxed in this private, family & pet-friendly property located in the sort after location of Jervis Bay with multiply stunning beaches at your fingertips.
Gracie’s Cottage offers something for everyone: Sit in the armchair on the front veranda in the reading nook with a selection of books provided, or on the back veranda on the day bed watching and listening to the beautiful birdlife or take a little nap, play a board game or if you’re a little bit more energetic why not play a lawn game or go to one of the local beaches and come back and wash off with our outdoor hot shower or have a spa bath under the fig tree. Enjoy getting back to the simple life with nature and the beach. Then later you could cook up a storm in the full-size kitchen, or make a pizza in the outdoor pizza oven, or put a snag on the weber, you can even supplement your cooking from our seasonal herb/vegie patch or just go out to one of the local restaurants, pubs, or clubs. The options are endless!
The cottage has been tastefully renovated and styled with lovely furnishings while keeping with historic fell of the home. There are two luxurious bedrooms, one with a king size and the other with a double bed (both have single trundle beds underneath for additional guest), and the second room has the original fireplace, which now has an electric log fire to enjoy without the mess and hassle of an open wood fire. In the open planed dining and living area, there is plenty of seating and a double sofa bed that converts for extra guest sleeping, 8 sitter formal dining table, air conditioner, ceiling fan, games cupboard, TV, free Wi-Fi and even a jigsaw puzzle table, it is a sunny and inviting space. The timber kitchen has all the mod cons of a dishwasher, coffee machine, air fryer, new gas stove plus a fireplace with a slow combustion fire.
Main bathroom has a corner shower (which can fit a walking frame), a clawfoot bath and double vanity and toilet. The second outdoor bathroom is combined with the laundry and is situated in the back yard under the fig tree, it has two showers one inside and one outside, a one-person spa bath, and a washing machine.
This property is family friendly for all your little ones including the two and four legged variety. Please let us know if you require a cot. Because of the abundance or birdlife and beautiful gardens in the back yard your pets are not permitted in the back yard. The front yard is large and is perfect for them to run around and is fully fenced (but please note if your dog is a jumper or an escape artist the fence may not be adequate to keep them in). Pets are not permitted to be locked in the house if you go out, but they can be left either in the front yard or secure them up on the back enclosed veranda We provide extra pet throw blankets for you to use if your pets need to be on the furniture. But please bring their own beds.
Now a little bit further afield if you feel like a leisurely shop, the famous Historical township of Berry is only ½ hour away or take a beautiful country and mountain drive or go to Kangaroo Valley for the day and raft down the river or visit the waterfalls at Falls Creek. Alternatively, just stay more local and explore many more pristine beaches of Jervis Bay which are only around 10 to 15 mins drive away.
