Fordwich Folly is a majestically restored 1918 WW1 returned soldiers' homestead, set on 160 acres on one of the oldest vineyards in the Hunter Valley, with vines dating back to 1923.
The house is 5 minutes from Margan’s multi-award winning restaurant/winery and wedding venue, Nightingales restaurant and Hill Street wedding venue. 25 minutes from Hunter Valley concert venues. Rovers Coaches pickup from our driveway.
The Brokenback Ranges form an amphitheatre around the 160 acre vineyard and winery.

The Bedrooms
Fordwich Folly house consists of 3 large bedrooms.
The beds have all been made to order and are dressed in sumptuous 1200 Thread Count Egyptian cotton linen... Like sleeping on a cloud.
The Star Room has panoramic floor to ceiling views of the mountains, at night the Southern sky is a plethora of stars. Double doors open to the plunge pool just metres away. The King sized bed allows views in both directions.
The Orchard Room, complete with King sized bed has double doors opening onto the verandah, with views through the orchard to the vineyard and rolling landscape beyond.
The Shiraz Suite, complete with queen bed and sitting area, overlooks some of the oldest Shiraz vines in the Hunter Valley.
All beds are fitted with sumptuous 1200 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets.
The open plan kitchen, lounge & dining room open out onto a beautiful North facing terrace with stunning views over the valley.
The Rest
The Chef's kitchen is equipped with 5 burner gas cooktop, electric oven, granite benchtops, enamelled cast iron cookware, walk-in pantry and original Australian furniture. A Lavazza coffee machine completes the picture.
Bath Sheets are provided for each guest.
