Just two hours North of Newcastle Crowdy Beach House ticks all the boxes, for those who love the beach, surfing, fishing and 4-wheel driving, or just want to relax, maybe read the paper, book or do nothing, it’s got it all. Just imagine sitting on the newly renovated rooftop deck looking at the views and listening to the surf.
The house is open plan, equipped with a lounge, dining and kitchenette.
It has two bedrooms. The first has a double bed bunk bed consisting of a double bed on the bottom and a single bed up the top. The second bedroom has a double bed. There’s one bathroom, it even has a washing machine. All of this makes it an ideal getaway for two couples or a small family.
Step out the front door and walk 50 paces and you are on one of Australia’s most beautiful patrolled beaches. Crowdy Beach is protected by a headland. It's north facing with a gentle decline, as you walk into the water through the waves and no washed-out troughs to be wary about. All this is making it perfect for the family to enjoy, with the surf club and lifesavers on duty in the peak season for your safety. Enjoy a coffee or an ice cream from the sunset café while the children play in the sand and have fun in the ocean.
Crowdy Beach has 4-wheel drive access onto the 15 Klms of Beach that curves around to the east facing Diamond Head beach, good hard sand all the way at low tide, great fishing and surfing remember you need a licence to drive or fish on the beaches.
About 500 metres out the back door and through the national park on the other side of the headland is Harrington North Beach. It’s a popular spot for rock fishing, surfing and 4-wheel driving.
For the boating enthusiasts, there is parking for a small boat at the Beach house. There’s a boat ramp with a floating jetty 200 metres up the road at the Marina and Fishing Co-op. Access to the Manning River is, nearby Harrington 5 km away.
Harrington has Restaurants and Takeaways to satisfy the taste buds so you don’t even have to cook. Some of the venues offer a courtesy bus if you wish to have a beverage or two all you have to do is call Every Sunday at the surf club join the (Sunday Sippers) the bar is open at about midday so you can enjoy a drink with the locals watching the sun go down, so make sure that the camera is working. If the timing is right you may even see some Whales migrating north to or south depending on the time of the year.
