The Billabong Lodge at the Brimin Lodge farming property is a permanently moored houseboat which floats on a delightful secluded billabong just off the Murray River. The Lodge has full facilities for a weekend getaway, or for a longer holiday stay. Children will love the private punt which takes you across the Billabong.
Our property is located between Rutherglen and Bundalong at 528 Brimin Road, Brimin, Vic. and has almost five kilometers of private Murray River frontage, so there are endless possibilities for walking in the redgum forests, birdwatching, boating, swimming or simply relaxing in absolute privacy.
The nearest of the Rutherglen wineries is just five minutes drive and numerous Murray River famous golf courses are less than 30 minutes drive. Also Bright, Beechworth, the high country mountains and Yarrawonga and Cobram are within easy access for a day trip or two.
The Lodge is fully equipped with large fridge, stove, microwave, TV, and outdoor electric barbeque. It is airconditioned and the double bed and two single beds (set up as bunks in a small second bedroom) have electric blankets and all linen, towells and toiletries are supplied. Outside of the fire restriction period it is possible to have a campfire on the bank of the billabong in the firepit.
Pets are welcome at the Lodge but only by arrangement as our property is a working sheep farm. Being a floating houseboat the Lodge is not suitable for unsupervised children, particularly toddlers.
